The Best Cobbler Recipe Ever!

I found this super cute Strawberries 'n Cream baker by Sheffield at the thrift store this weekend and just had to buy it.  I have 4 plates and 2 ramekins that match so there was no question as to whether I would be bringing this home with me or not.  It was meant to be mine!
The only question I had was, "What am I going to make in it?"  Cody was quick to chime in with his idea.  He wanted Cherry Cobbler.  The boy loves Cherry Cobbler and after trying many different recipes, I finally found the one that he can't get enough of.  I found this recipe in a magazine, it's for Peach Cobbler but it works for any fruit cobbler.
It's so easy and so delicious.  Just melt half a cube of butter in a bowl, add 1/3 cup each of flour, brown sugar and oats and sprinkle in a 1/2 tsp of cinnamon.  Mix it all up and spread it on the top of your fruit.
You can see the recipe calls for 2-15 oz cans of fruit but my new baking dish held just one can perfectly.  I normally double the cobbler recipe but for the size of my baker, I just did one recipe.
Bake it in a 375 degree oven for 30 minutes.  The smell is phenomenal and makes your mouth water while it is baking.
Cody can't eat a cobbler without whipped cream so I made some homemade whipped cream to top it off.
It comes out golden and perfectly baked.  Let it cool for a bit, if you can handle it!
Then dish it up and add a dollup of whipped cream to the top.  You will probably go back for seconds or thirds or just eat it straight out of the baker.  It's up to you! I promise once you try this cobbler recipe, you won't be disappointed.  Cody wants me to make the cobbler plain so he can he can eat it by the handful!  It's just that good.

Dollar Store Terrarium

Have you heard about the newest craze called Plant 'n Sip?  It's the same notion as Paint 'n Sip but instead of painting, you plant.  I heard about it and just had to try my hand at it just in case I decide to lead a Plant 'n Sip class at work one of these days!
Off to the Dollar Tree I went!  They have the perfect little round glass bowls in varying sizes.  I happened to have a larger one already but I also picked up a small one.
I also had some succulents in my office that needed a better home.  However, the Dollar Tree has faux succulents if you don't want to have to take care of the real ones.  I bought one of those as well.
I bought a bag of rocks and my Dollar Tree even has potting soil so I picked up a bag of that for my real succulents.  You could also use the glass marbles in different colors for this if you would like!
I came back to my office and got started.  I placed some rocks in the bottom and then added some potting soil.  I then transplanted my succulents into the new soil and added a few rocks around the edge.  Now the corner of my desk has a perfect little terrarium that I just love!
As for the fake succulent that I bought...well, I made a tiny little terrarium for my boss.  She is the worst at keeping plants alive so this will be perfect for her!
I am pretty good at keeping plants alive, but I think I may need to go back to the Dollar Tree and buy some more of these faux succulents so I can make more terrariums!  Wouldn't they look so cute in a big mason jar?!
I think I am definitely going to have to make a Plant 'n Sip class happen soon!
