I have seen so many adorable tags created by my fellow bloggers lately and they have really inspired me. I wanted to make some of my own! I had a few white tags laying around so I decided to use some coffee grounds to stain them and make them a little more vintage looking. My favorite colors are pink and aqua, so I used scrapbook paper to create these pretty little roses-I followed Donna's tutorial at My Shabby Chateau.
I love the way they turned out! I used white glitter on the aqua and pink glitter on the pink and used a coordinating bead to finish them up.
I think I have a new found addiction-making paper roses and tags!! I then added some vintage lace that has just a touch of pink around the top. And that is where I hit a creative block. I think they look pretty good as is-there is plenty of room to write in a message. But I think they need more. Any suggestions??

These are quite pretty. I love how they have a nice vintage look to them. Hug. Tammy
ReplyDeleteYour tags are gorgeous! I'm so flattered that you mentioned me and my paper roses! So glad to inspire:) Guess we are on the same wavelength, because for the last two days I've been making tea dyed tags with the roses! Are you going to add ribbon to the tops? That and maybe a rubber stamp here and there. But, they are beautiful as is!!
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great addiction to have Trisha! I think they are perfect just the way they are. I love making tags too, and it getting to be the time of year where I need to get going on them for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI imagine the Fall colors are gorgeous right now over there in your part of Idaho. It got sooo cold here night before last, so the green is pretty much gone and turning kind of a yucky brown. We did get a tiny bit of snow here in the valley, but our mountains got hammered.
Enjoy the rest of your week!
hugs
So pretty, Trisha! Lovely colors! Maybe you could add some seam binding or ribbon for tying them on, that always adds that extra something! Thanks for stopping by!
