Just about every Sunday, my in-laws take a 30 minute drive over to where we live. They don't just come to visit us, they really come all this way so they can stop by the Idaho Youth Ranch in the next town over. My MIL claims that it is the best one in this area. Last weekend while the boys were doing something to the pool table in the garage, us girls made a trip to the Youth Ranch. I didn't think I would find anything, fortunately I was wrong!
The first aisle I went down I saw a sea of pink and aqua that immediately caught my eye. As soon as I saw what they were, I snatched some up. I didn't know that I wanted to find vintage Melamine, but I am sure glad I did! There were probably 12 pink cups, 12 aqua cups and 20 or so of the plates. They were marked 35 cents each. You read that right 35 CENTS! I picked out 2 of the best pink cups and plates and 2 of the best aqua cups and plates but I now wish I would have grabbed them all!
The aqua ones have no markings but the pink ones say Sun Valley Melmac. I think I may have inadvertently started a new obsession. I went on Ebay just to see what I have here and I think there are so many cute sets that I now want. I don't need them, I just want them!
The colors are my favorites and perfect for this time of year. I had a fun little photo shoot with them and then decided to put together an Easter tablescape using them. I love, love, love these pretty pastel colors on my table!
I have been waiting for Easter to use my pastel plaid tablecloth. It is the perfect base for an Easter table.
The centerpiece of my table is usually always my cloche. For Easter, I filled it up with colorful plastic eggs and put a little pink garland around the base. I then set out my pink and green plates and placed a pink and white polka dot napkin in the center.
Each setting has a sweet little terra cotta bunny smack dab in the middle. I thought about painting them different pastel colors, but I kind of like them just how they are.
Each place setting also has a vintage melamine cup and saucer for some tea or coffee. The tall glasses will be perfect for an Easter Brunch mimosa!
That sweet little teapot was also a thrift store find from years ago. It goes perfect on this Easter table.
This table isn't super fancy or elaborate, but the colors are perfect for Easter and treating my loved ones to a beautiful and delicious Easter brunch!

Trisha - That is very, very cute. My mother had some of the aqua melmac dishes and the plates had kind of a flower design that went up along one side of it. I have a picture of it saved on my computer. Happy Collecting! xo Diana
