Someone forgot the batteries for their camera this weekend...that someone was me! So I didn't get any interior shots of my vintage camper but my crappy phone did take some nice outside shots. It was a lovely weekend and we did nothing but what we wanted to do. I wish it wasn't over so quickly.
We bought this camper 3 months before we got married 5 years ago, right before the big vintage camper craze hit. We paid $500 for it and it was in excellent shape. Cody painted the outside, we put in hardwood flooring, painted the cabinets, reupholstered the cushions and made new curtains. We could have sold this sweet camper five times over for triple what we paid for it. The only way I would ever sell it is if we found another vintage camper in such great shape that had a bathroom!
It is a 1967 Oasis from Bellflower, California. It is tiny, only 14 feet long but perfect for the 2 of us and our 2 fur babies. We put the dinette down for them and they each have their own beds. I love to cook meals for us in here and do the dishes in my peach sink. I have to pump the water but it is such a fun little camper that I don't mind it a bit.
Hopefully next time we go up to the mountains, I will remember my camera batteries and I can take some great interior shots. There are so many things I want to do to the inside but it is perfect just the way it is if I never get around to doing all of it!

I love your sweet little camper too and I would not sell it. it is the perfect size for a little get away...ahhhh how fun
ReplyDeleteI would run electricity to it and keep it in by backyard for my getaway! So adorable.
ReplyDeleteIts adorable!
ReplyDeleteIt looks cute! My family had one like this when I was a kid. I'd love to "vintage" up our 1983 23' camper my hubby & currently have, but that's a big endeavor. I redid a lot when we bought it, but that was long before Pinterest!
ReplyDeleteI'm soooo jealous - would love to have one of them - and can't wait to see the photos of the interior!!!
ReplyDeleteHopping over from Coastal Charm!
XOXO
Can't wait to see the inside. Looks like a fun time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find! I am sure you are going to have a blast using it. Looking forward to seeing your interior shots. Followed you from Coast Charm.

Love the camper. I hope you'll share the inside soon!
ReplyDeleteYour camper is just adorable, Trisha! I can't wait to see the inside of it. Bet you are having a blast decorating and playing!
ReplyDeleteI want one too. Your little camper is totally adorable. What a wonderful place to spend a relaxing weekend. I bet the inside is just as adorable!
ReplyDeleteFUN! I want one too :)
ReplyDeleteOh I love it, my son has one that size and he also has the same shower. How fun.
ReplyDeleteIt's darling! I would have to have A/C unless it was really cool out - LOL. I'm miserable if I get hot, but I'd love it in the spring and fall months. Maybe even use it for a studio!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see other photos!

Your trailer caught my eye at the Inspire Me Tuesday Party. I used to have one almost identical back in the late 70's and I loved that little trailer. Thanks for the trip down memory lane :)

OMG it is perfect, what a deal and better yet, all of the fun you have had with it. You have to remember the batteries, we would love to see the inside! I'm guessing the puppies love it too!

Jealous!! Your camper is TOO cute! I've wanted a vintage camper since 2003, though I've yet to acquire on. Someday, someday.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to go camping. Love your vintage home away from home. Good job with your phone camera. Look forward to seeing the interior. Thanks for stopping by on VTT.

Your camper is so adorable, I love that you are having so much fun using it that you don't have time to decorate! I choose fun!!!
ReplyDeleteLove it.

Love, LOVE your vintage camper! And I love camping (my husband and I are heading out tonight - only with a tent - to celebrate our first anniversary) Even though we only have a tent I love day dreaming about vintage campers. I started a pinterest board for camping and have been pinning them like crazy! I'll have to add your darling one. Have a blessed weekend!

We have been talking about buying a vintage camper to use in our backyard as a guest house and retreat. Yours looks pretty cute. I'd really like to see the interior. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable little vintage camper. Our son lives in northern Indiana, the camper capital of the world, and we have visited the camper museum there. We so enjoyed seeing all of the old models and imagining the stories they could tell. So enjoyed visiting yours today.
ReplyDeleteHi Trisha, your camper looks so cute, cozy and fun!
ReplyDeleteTrisha, love, love your camper! My fil gave us his a few years ago. Basically said it was ours when we wanted it. We didn't want to just go and take it so thought we would wait until he passed away. He misunderstood and gave it to one of the grands. You snooze you lose. lol! How fun for you and hubby to get away. Thanks for sharing with SYC. I'll be featuring your little beauty later today.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Great camper.
ReplyDeleteWOW, I would love to have your camper. Vintage campers are the very best and so much fun making all so cute!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the inside!
