Roses in bloom

I apologize for my lack of posting lately. Life is definitely busy, but I guess that is a good thing! We spent last weekend with my husband's family at the Apple Blossom Festival in my hometown. This weekend we went camping in Sumpter, Oregon and had so much fun at the huge flea market! We came home with a few treasures that I will share soon. We spent all day working in the yard and I was greeted by these lovely roses!I had just planted 2 rose bushes at our old house and had to leave them along with my lilac bush and peonies. I've been thinking about them a lot lately, wishing I could be enjoying them in all their glory. Lucky for me I now have a rose bush with these beautiful white roses.
They have a slight peach hue in the middle and they smell divine! I cut these 3 to bring inside and enjoy. They look so wonderful in my carafe in front of this chippy white door. I purchased 2 of these doors a few years ago off of Craigslist. I got them both for $10!!
The little table that they are sitting on is a yard sale find for $3 that my father-in-law bought for me. I am hoping to get it refinished this week!
I could look at these roses against this chippy white door all day long. So pretty and perfect!
There is also a miniature rose bush with these bright pink roses in my yard. I cut a few little roses and buds to put in my bulb vases.
The sun was casting a beautiful glow in the back yard tonight, the perfect place for this quick little photo shoot of my roses.
Roses always make me happy. The way they look and smell is always a good mood booster!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!

Your rose bushes are beautiful, Trisha. Roses always make me happy too. There is just something so special about them. The ones that are planted in our front yard aren't doing as nicely as these are. I think they may need more sun. That last picture is sooo pretty.

I'm always excited to see roses in my garden too. Your white ones are lovely, but the 3 vases of pink ones are my favorite. Sounds like you got a steal of a deal on that table too. I'll have to come back to see the makeover! Thank you for joining us at Your Cozy Home Party this week!

I love the peach colored roses. They are beautiful. I don't think I've seen that color before. I have a variety of colors of roses in my garden. I may have to add the one like yours.

Take care,
Sue

Isn't chippy wood the best? I always have crackle paint on hand to make "boring" wood better! Love how the roses look against the chippy wood. Lovely! Wags, Niki

I love your door..I wonder where I can find one..I want to hide my air conditioner that is in one of my gardens..I will have to check out some places..thanks for the idea..and oh yes, your roses are stunning. I would be sad if I had to leave behind my lilacs and peonies..you should have taken the peonies with you.. too sad! But, new rose bushes to love is not so bad! Enjoy..
