I just had to show you the fun shower I helped throw for my future sister in law. Her wedding colors are purple, yellow and grey. Here is a banner that I made for the shower. I found canvas covered photo books at Michael's in the $2 bins that were perfect for a banner. The roses are rolled felt. I ripped the pictures to give them a rough look and the letters are just printed on paper and glued on. I love the way this turned out. So did everyone else. I have already been asked to make one for a baby shower as well as sell some of my creations in my aunt's floral shop...yay!!
Here is the food table. My white stands came in super handy for all the yummy food!
The ceiling where we had the shower was lovely. I love the way the lights, lanterns and poms look hanging from it!
I also made some sugar cookies. I need a lot of practice when it comes to decorating them, but I am definitely getting better. Everyone said they tasted delicious too!
And here is the beautiful bride to be! She hates being the center of attention and hated that we made her put this fun bow hat on. Oh well, it is tradition and she looks pretty cute!
The wedding is June 15th, sadly I am not in it but I will be there to take some pictures, help set up and do whatever they need me to do. I can't wait!

Your banner turned out great, Trisha! I love that so much of the shower included hand created (and baked!) treasures. So much more heart felt than just a bunch of store bought "stuff"! The bride to be looks lovely in her ribbon hat:)!
I have to say I am glad someone else (You ) thought the bike stuff was funny...sometimes I wonder if it's just me :)
WOW!! That banner! You are for sure the cute banner queen! I am remembering another you did...you totally turn them into art!!!
Yes the bride is darling!!! All your touches...the poms...the cookies...the table!!! When I read the first line...that you helped throw a shower...I knew it was gonna be good!
I don't even need to imagine your future sister-in-laws reaction.. I KNOW she was thrilled with all the little touches you did to make her party special!! Congrats on the banner and everyone's reaction to it.. you did good, girl!! Yummy treats... those cookies were perfect! And the future bride? She might have not loved all the attention but she is gorgeous all the same! She's very lucky to have you as a future sister!!
The banner is gorgeous. What a creative idea. Thanks tons for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty

How cute and festive!! I like the colors though I wasn't really sure at first, but they pop so much with happiness that the whole effect is quite wonderful! I know she loved all the wonderful items y'all lovingly brought together to bless her, and I hope the wedding is just a lovely.
Blessings!
Doni

Adorable banner! I love those colors together. Thanks so much for linking with Make Bake Create.
Really cute! I just recently went to a wedding reception that the colors were purple and grey and it was so pretty. They held it in an old barn. The pop of yellow would be a wonderful addition. Congrats to the future bride and thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
