Spring indoors

Spring is in the air at my house! I have been trying to decorate to make the inside feel like spring, even if it still feels like winter outside! I don't have a mantel, so I like to decorate the top of my TV. I found these cute little glass vase things at work and brought them home with me. I knew they would hold an egg perfectly! I purchased some real looking eggs made out of a ceramic material at a craft store and painted and glittered them. Then I added a bow and a flower. They are very springy!
I couldn't decide if I liked the vases empty, so I put in some jelly beans to see if I liked it better. I almost think empty looks better, what do you think? Do you notice the car in the bottom left of the picture? My husband likes to add his own touch to my decorating, mostly in the form of his matchbox car collections! I humor him since he pretty much let's me do whatever I want with our house!
I took Friday off since my little Bella girl got spayed on Thursday. I wanted to be home with her because I am sure it is a pretty scary things she just went through. Of course I can't just sit and do nothing, so I made this SPRING banner to hang in my window. I used 6 different colors and patterns of scrapbook paper and added lace, flowers, pom poms and ribbon. I like the way it turned out and it adds a nice springy touch to the living room!
And one more spring touch is my teapot full of spring flowers. I added in a few eggs on sticks to bring in the Easter aspect! Thank goodness for silk flowers this time of year!
I hope that you are enjoying spring like weather where you are! I am joining Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for Pink Saturday. There are always so many lovely pinks for everyone to enjoy!

You've been busy! I like the jelly beans, but they also look good empty. I would have never thought to display eggs that way-very creative. Happy Pink Saturday! Terri

Hi Trisha -- Well sweetie if Spring won't come to you, you sure went out and got it! Love the banner; I've been seeing so many of these lately. I'm making one for a baby shower. Your centerpiece caught my eye -- I love pastel colors; don't know why, but I gravitate to them like bees to their honey. Staying sweet with all those treats in your little glass container "egg holders" Terri www.morningdewdrops.typepad.com

You made some lovely spring/Easter decorations. I think the eggs show up more when the little vases are empty but either way is cute.

I hope your little girl is feeling better. If I put jelly beans in vases, I have no doubt that my better half would have consumed them within 2 minutes of me placing them out there! The vases look very pretty!!

You did a great job with the eggs, they look so cute! You know, I kind of like the vases better empty because they show off the eggs more. Those little ceramic birds are adorable, too.

Your spring decorations are so cute! I love the teapot with flowers...that's a great idea! We are experiencing a big spring storm right now...lots of rain and wind! I need to go turn the heater up...definitely not sunshiny spring around here today!
