Sweet little hearts made out of scraps

Some people would call me a pack rat-I can't bear to throw away those little scraps of vintage sheet music that are left over after doing a project. They are just too cute and I just know I might find a use for them one day. I prefer to call myself thrifty and I am so glad I kept them because something I saw on Pinterest inspired me to make these heart tags!
I had some folders from work that were perfect for using as the backing. I cut the heart shape out and then took different small pieces of sheet music and glued them all over the heart in a very random fashion. It doesn't have to be perfect or match up...the more random the better!I then took some glitter paint and outlined the edge of the heart. This helps disguise any rough edges and it adds some sparkle to them as well!
For the roses, I took a piece of tulle about a foot and half long and 2 inches wide and started to twist it into a rose. I used a little dab of hot glue here and there to hold it in place. I then glued the rose onto the heart and added an embellishment to the center of the rose. I used pearls, vintage buttons and gems.
For these two, I printed "Je t'aime" on paper, cut it out and glued it on. I glittered the edge of that too. I think these two are my favorite!
I poked a hole in the top of the heart and put some ribbon through. These could be used as gift tags, note tags or even hung up for decoration. The total cost of these=$0...now that is my kind of project. I have a few other ideas in mind and I have a lot of scrap sheet music left so I better get to finishing them so I can show you!
I am a sucker for anything that includes vintage sheet music, roses, glitter, pearls, ribbons, French and love!
